pocket notebook
I've been looking for a Field Notes notebook alternative as they're kind of expensive and I tend to fill them somewhat quickly.
I found a package of six pocket notebooks on Amazon, that are surprisingly great. The cover is heavy black cardstock without logos, and the blank paper holds my markers and fountain pens quite nicely. There's a bit of ghosting, which doesn't bother me, but no bleedthrough. Also, $13 for 6 notebooks is a win. I'll give a more solid review/impression after I've used them for a while.

Changing the size of my sketchbook has made it easy for me to doodle every day while listening to a record or having a show on in the background at night.

Working in these tiny books makes it a zero-pressure space for doodles. I've been using my brush pens lately as I'm in another marker phase. No goals with these drawings, just whatever pops into my head.

I mentioned I recently deleted Mastodon, and now I got rid of Bluesky. The only social I have left is Tumblr and I'm very close to getting rid of that too.

I'd like to use my website a bit more to record daily drawings if the mood strikes.

Down the breather hole reviews a couple Field Notes alternatives that I'm curious to try. He mentions Artik notebook that doesn't even use trees, which is perhaps on the expensive side, but oh so pretty.
Sometimes, when I check my Bearblog analytics, I serendipitously meet my next fav blog. Matt's Blog is a perfect example :)
